Sponsored content policy
Paid collaboration must never be hidden.
Sponsored content is material funded, commissioned or materially supported by a third party. It must be clearly identified and remain subject to accuracy, usefulness and reader-protection standards.
Requirements for sponsored work
Prominent disclosure
The funding relationship should be stated where the reader encounters the content, using clear wording such as “Sponsored” or “Paid partnership”.
Useful subject matter
The page should answer a genuine reader question or provide practical information, not merely repeat a sponsor’s marketing copy.
Accuracy and qualification
Material factual claims should be checked proportionately, and important conditions, exclusions and uncertainty should remain visible.
Editorial right to refuse
Attach Planet may reject, amend, postpone or withdraw sponsored work that conflicts with accuracy, legality, safety or reader trust.
Links, approval and control
A sponsor may check factual statements about its own organisation or product, but it does not receive an unrestricted right to dictate the conclusion or remove fair criticism. Paid links should be marked with the appropriate sponsored relationship attribute where technically applicable.
After publication
Sponsored pages may be corrected, updated, relabelled, archived or removed when information changes, the arrangement ends or the page no longer meets our standards. A sponsor’s payment does not prevent a correction under our corrections policy.
Display advertisements are governed separately by our advertising policy. Affiliate relationships are explained in our affiliate and advertising disclosure.
Question a sponsored page.
Tell us which disclosure, claim or link appears unclear and why it could affect a reader’s understanding.
